- Case Management Assistants* - If you enjoy getting to know
new people, building relationships, providing encouragement and visiting on the
phone, this could be a very rewarding role for you. Program Assistants help
provide ongoing support and encouragement to our mentor matches through monthly
follow-up calls to the mentors, children and their caregivers. They join up with a BBFK Case Manager
when a new mentor match is made so they have the opportunity to meet those they
will be following up with on a monthly basis. Volunteer will communicate
closely with BBFK Case Manager who will also be available to intervene if any
difficult situations arise. (This is a volunteer staff position, contact

Requirements: Strong personal relationship with Jesus Christ; strong interpersonal and communication skills; basic computer skills and access to Internet; occasional personal use of vehicle**
Time Commitment: One
5-hour training session; approximately 4 hours / month; we ask for a one-year
commitment
- Case Managers* - The main role of the Case Manager is to match
Christian adult mentors with children of prisoners and to provide ongoing
support to those mentor relationships either directly, or indirectly by
supervising Program Assistants that are providing monthly match support. The match process involves meeting with
new families at their home, interviewing potential mentors, conducting
reference checks, praying with and for mentors, children and families.
Requirements: Strong personal relationship with Jesus Christ; experience working or
volunteering in a similar role; strong interpersonal, communication and
conflict management skills; basic computer skills and access to Internet; and
personal use of vehicle**
Time Commitment: 8 hours of training (over two sessions) and 6-8
hours per month; we ask for a one-year commitment
